Im Februar diesen Jahres war ich an der Nordseeküste beim Eidersperrwerk fotografisch unterwegs. Am kleinen Hafen sah ich einen Fotografen, der mit Großformatkamera, Verdunkelungstuch und Stativ an der Kaimauer stand. Ich sprach ihn an und es stellte sich heraus, dass er Italiener ist und momentan in Schleswig-Holstein war. Wir sprachen kurz über unsere bevorzugten Fotomotive, die Kameras (Linhof und Leica), die wir dabei hatten, und unsere Websites. Ich bat ihn, ein Porträt von ihm und seiner Kamera machen zu dürfen. Nachdem ich ihm meine Visitenkarte gegeben hatte, verabschiedeten wir uns.
Drei Monate geschah nichts. Dann erhielt ich eine nette E-Mail mit der Adresse seiner neu erstellten Website und ich schickte ihm das Porträt.

Unexpected meeting of photographers
In February of this year I was on the road at the Eider barrage on the North Sea coast. At the small harbor I saw a photographer standing at the quay wall with a large format camera, blackout cloth and tripod. I spoke to him and it turned out that he is Italian and was currently in Schleswig-Holstein. We spoke briefly about our favorite photo opportunities, the cameras we had with us (Linhof and Leica) and our websites. I asked if I could take a portrait of him and his camera. After I gave him my business card, we said goodbye.
Nothing happened for three months. Then I received a nice email with the address of his newly created website and I sent him the portrait.
